Through Grace The Canons Continue in Faith

"Let all of you then live together in oneness of mind and heart, mutually honoring in yourselves the God whose temples you have become." ~ Rule of St. Augustine

With thanks to God, as The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius begin celebrating 25 years since it's founding, the order continues to grow and thrive with men called to join the holy mission of ‘Restoring the Sacred’.

On August 15, 2022 at Solemn Vespers of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Br. Mateusz renewed his vow of poverty, chastity and obedience of the order and Br. Kevin Menard, SJC professed his Perpetual Vow of poverty, chastity and obedience.

Br. Kevin lay prostrate before the altar covered with a black funeral shroud, symbolizing death to the world, while his fellow Canons chanted the Litany of the Saints. He then rose to new life as a fully professed member. Br. Kevin will be awaiting ordination to the Diaconate in May of 2024 and then Priesthood in May of 2025.

In the same ceremony, Fr. Schuster, SJC, Br. Mark Visconti, SJC and Br. Juan Garcia, SJC all received a special blessing as they celebrate their 10th anniversary of being members of the Canons Regular. Not pictured Fr. Kevin Mann, SJC is also celebrating his 10th anniversary with the Canons Regular.

We are thankful to God for His Providence which brought these men to serve the Church with The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius. It is through the Grace of God and the prayers and sacrifices of our many supporters that the Canons Regular continues to grow.

Please keep Br. Kevin and all the Canons in prayer as they continue to grow in holiness and discern God’s call in their lives. View Gallery Here
