"God cares for us, God loves all of us, and evil will not prevail! We are all in God's hands. Therefore, without fear, united hand in hand with God and among ourselves, let us move forward." —Pope Leo XIV, May 8, 2025.
We have many reasons for hope and gratitude in the election of our new Holy Father Pope Leo XIV.
We are delighted that our new Holy Father is a son of our mutual spiritual father, St. Augustine. How telling that the first prayer he has led our Church in is the Ave Maria: "Our Mother Mary always wants to walk with us, to stay close, to help us with her intercession and her love."
We exhort our faithful and all the faithful to approach the Holy Father Leo XIV with fealty and love. We trust in the Providence of God who has given us such a Shepherd.
May Pope Leo XIV truly be a Pontifex, a bridge builder. May he lead us in truth and charity, and may his pontificate be a time of renewal, unity, and grace. We ask that the Lord will grant him abundant wisdom, strength, and courage to do all that Our Lord is asking of Him in these tumultuous times. May God bless Pope Leo and grant him many years.
