Pray Them Home

St. Monica Sodality

Did you know we have a weekly prayer group to pray for those who have left the faith?

Every Wednesday at 7:00 pm, the St. Monica Sodality meets to pray special prayers before the 7:30 pm Mass. All are welcome and anyone can join in the prayers, you do not have to be a member.

On Sunday, August 28th, members of the sodality will be in the Vestibule of the back of Church after Masses taking memberships and providing information on the sodality.

The St. Monica Sodality promotes prayer and self-mortification for the return to the Catholic faith of family members and friends. The core of the Sodality Devotion is weekly recitation of the St. Monica Novena, followed by the Holy Rosary for all of the intentions submitted to the Sodality.

The St. Monica Novena is a weekly devotion to pray for the return to the Church of fallen-away, marginal, and apostate Catholics from among our families, relatives and friends. Every Wednesday evening, the public is invited to a public recitation of the St. Monica Novena and Rosary for this intention. Those who cannot personally attend the Wednesday evening devotions at St. John Cantius can become members of the St. Monica Sodality, as so many around the country have already done. They can join in prayer with their private recitation of the novena and Rosary every Wednesday evening, wherever they may be.
