Marian Consecration

Aug 18
2 min read

Join fellow parishioners in a 33-Day preparation for total consecration to Jesus through Mary. This year we will be using Canon recommended, “The Fruit of Her Womb” book by Fr. Boniface Hicks, O.S.B.

Our daily reading (ten minutes per day) will include guidance on emptying ourselves of the spirit of the world, knowledge of self, knowledge of Mary and knowledge of Jesus.

The goals of this preparation are to:

 - Allow the Blessed Mother to cherish you as a baby in her womb and rejoice in your dignity as a child of God

 - Grow in patience, humility, and love (Our Lady makes it sweeter!)

 - Deepen your faith and live out your baptismal call to holiness

 - Close, “escape routes” in your relationship with God and live in the freedom of total surrender

 - Take refuge and receive consolation in Mary’s protective care

 - Realize that sufferings and difficulty point to the hope and final victory that await you

Whether it will be your first consecration, or you are renewing your consecration, all are welcome. The only cost for this program will be the price of the book which will be available for purchase at the first meeting.

Our first meeting will be on Saturday, August 29th at 9:30 am in the Parish Hall.

We will have a mid-session question and answer meeting on Saturday, September 19th at 9:30 am in the Parish Hall (attendance is not mandatory).

Our Consecration will take place after the 7:30 pm Mass on Wednesday, October 7th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, at Mary’s Altar at St. John Cantius Church.

This is the sign you’ve been waiting for.
