The Holy Father has called for a Synod of Bishops in 2023. A synod is an assembly of bishops tasked with counseling the Pope on a subject presented to them by the Pope.
The theme for the 2023 Synod of Bishops is “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, and Mission.” In preparation for this Synod, the Holy Father has called for listening sessions to discern where the Holy Spirit is leading the Church. Every parish is invited to participate.
