Remember Your Departed Loved Ones

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

For centuries Catholics have dedicated November 2nd to the Faithful Departed, that is, to those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, and now await the glory of the Resurrection.

I invite you to enroll your departed loved ones in our novena of Tridentine Requiem Masses at St. John Cantius Church. Please send us the names of those you wish to have remembered by writing them on the card provided and sending it by mail or simply place it in the collection basket on Sunday.

In addition to our novena of Masses, special All Souls Memorial Candles will burn in the parish gardens on All Souls Day. Candles such as these are used throughout Europe in the cemeteries on All Souls Day. If you would like to help us provide these candles a donation of $10.00 is requested.

Sincerely,

Very Rev. Joshua Caswell, SJC

Pastor, St. John Cantius Church
