RCIA Classes

“I will go peaceably and firmly to the Catholic Church: for if Faith is so important to our salvation, I will seek it where true Faith first began, seek it among those who received it from God Himself.” —St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

Each year we are blessed with a number of individuals who desire to enter and learn more about the Catholic faith. The RCIA program is the study of the Catholic Faith for adults.

This class is offered for adults in three situations:

  1. Un-baptized adults who desire to be baptized in the Catholic Church;
  2. Baptized non-Catholic Christians who desire to be formally admitted into communion with the Catholic Church;
  3. Baptized Catholics who have not yet been confirmed and desire to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. John Cantius Church.

Adult baptism takes place at the Easter Vigil at 10:00 p.m.

The class meets every Saturday evening beginning September 5th in St. Therese Hall from 5:00-6:30 pm and will be taught by Br. Mark Visconti, SJC.

If you or someone you know is interested in taking the class please contact Br. Mark at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information and to register, or call the parish office at 312.243.7373.
