This large-print edition of the 1954 Liber Brevior, includes the entireKyriale, all the liturgical chant propers for all Sundays, Commons and Feasts, plus Sunday Compline and Vespers as well as the Requiem and Burial liturgies.. Additional chants are included in honor of the Blessed Sacrament and the Virgin Mary and more. Special chants for the liturgical seasons are included as well.

This edition of the Liber Brevior works perfectly for the celebration of the Extraordinary Form (1962 Missal) and will only miss a few proper settings for saints canonized between 1954 and 1962, such as St. Martin de Porres. For those parishes who celebrate the Holy Week services according to the 1962 Missale Romanum, using the 1954 edition of the Liber Brevior will require careful consultation with the Missal as there were some liturgical modifications in those years.
Small choirs will be pleased to see that the Liber Brevior includes easier Psalm-tone settings for Graduals, Alleluias and Tracts in an appendix in the back of the book.
(Sample page of the simplified psalm-tone settings of the Graduals, Alleluias, etc. in the appendix.)
Unlike the Liber Usualis the Liber Brevior does not include the text of the Orations, Epistles and Gospels sung by the Priest at High Mass. Thus the Liber Brevior has fewer pages, a mere 800.
