Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ

Originally installed in 1927 in the Terrace Theatre, 361 West 23rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10011.  The 597-seat Terrace Theatre was located on 23rd Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. This organ, with a factory date of December 20, 1927, was moved on August 21, 1935 to WOR Radio’s studio at 1440 Broadway.  Its restoration by Century Organs of St. Paul, MN, was carried out between 2001-2013.  Its relocation to the stage on the church hall of St. John Cantius provides it a new home where it can perform for silent films, theatre organ concerts and popular sing-a-longs.
