Regional Appointments Made to Aid in Developing New Groups
With the blessing of Archbishop Domenico Umberto D’Ambrosio of Manfredonia-Vieste-San Giovanni Rotondo, Director of the International Prayer Groups and the Work of Padre Pio, the National Spiritual Director of the Prayer Groups, Rev. Francis A. Sariego, O.F.M., Cap., has appointed Rev. C. Frank Phillips, C.R., Regional Spiritual Director for Region 5 which includes twelve Midwestern states.
Fr. Phillips is the Founder of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius (SJC), a religious community of men dedicated to the Restoration of the Sacred. He serves as Spiritual Director of the Chicago Padre Pio Prayer Group which received its Charter from San Giovanni Rotondo on August 10, 2001.
At the same time, Fr. Sariego appointed Amos Miller of Chicago to serve as the Regional Coordinator for the Prayer Groups.
The assigned task will be to assist in the day-to-day functions of the groups which currently exist and to help develop new groups become established and to affiliate with the Work of Padre Pio.
The territory of Region 5 includes the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa.
