Photos: Holy Thursday Celebrated with Solemn Mass and Procession

Holy Thursday Mass, April 21, 2011, was celebrated by the Rev. C. Frank Phillips, C.R., pastor, and was concelebrated by priests of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius. During the Mass, the beautiful ceremony of Mandatum (washing of the feet) took place. At the conclusion of the Mass the Blessed Sacrament was transferred to the Altar of Repose in solemn procession.
Throughout the night hundreds of pilgrims and visitors, from all over Chicago and beyond, came to visit and pray before the Blessed Sacrament and venerate the relics of Our Lord’s Passion. Photos of the Holy Thursday service are now available for viewing.
