Latin Holy Hour

At the conclusion of the annual Forty Hours Devotion, the students of the Latin and Greek program at St. John Cantius Parish sponsor a Latin Holy Hour. During the holy hour the students lead the congregation in the recitation of devotional prayers in Latin, including the Rosary and the Litany of the Sacred Heart (listed below). The Latin Holy Hour also provides the people a chance to sing Latin Eucharistic hymns, such as “O Salutaris,” “O Esca Viatorum,” “Salve Regina,” and “Tantum Ergo.”
