About the Artist



Henry Criz has made successful concert tours in the U.S., Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Engagements have included appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chautauqua
Festival Orchestra, and the Washington National Orchestra at Wolf Trap.

He has also performed at The White House, was Concertmaster of the orchestra at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and has served as concertmaster and soloist with a number of other local orchestras.

Henry completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees with honors from Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University, and studied there under Morris Gomberg. Henry began teaching informally while still in high school, taught at the Chicago Musical College through the 1970s, and has regularly taught privately ever since.

He teaches violin and viola through his Moraine Music Academy in Highland Park, Illinois, as well as academic improvement and test preparation. He is also a registered financial advisor with Patrick Mauro Investment Advisor Inc.
