BIOGRAPHY

Marco Limone, born in Torino in 1973, started his studies under the guide of Mauro Pappagallo, continuing with Guido Donati at “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Turin and graduating in organ in 1996. In 1997 he obtained a degree in Organ aat Conservatoire National de Region”, gaining the “Gold Medal” under the guide of Louis Robilliard. Tho following year, always in Lyon, he participated to a perfecting course, obtaining the “Premiere Prix”. He attended masterclass with Francis Chapelet, Jean Ferrard, Ludger Lohmann and Louis Robilliard.

He performed in Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Poland. He worked with the Symphonic Orchestra RAI of Turin. He recorded two monographic CDs, dedicated to the organ works by Vincenzo Petrali and Filippo Capocci respectively (Tactus record
label). Main leader of television shootings and radio broadcasts. With other musicians of Turin, he is a founder member of A.S.P.O.R. Piemonte, that promotes the qualities of young organ players and soloist of other instruments.

He teaches Organ at “Istituto Diocesano di Musica e Liturgia” in Turin. He perfected the study of organ under the guide of Arturo Sacchetti, of whose he played various compositions, many of them for the first time. He also recorded a disk entirely dedicated to the organ works by the famous organ player for “Tactus” Label. In 2014 he recorded a disk dedicated to the German romantic composers for the label “Elegia Records”.
