St. John Cantius is a Roman Catholic church in the Archdiocese of Chicago. St. John’s offers daily the liturgy of the Roman rite in both the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms. Good Music with Good Friends
Join the Patrons of Sacred Music on Saturday, February 18 at 6 pm in the church hall (lower level) to hear Margaret Stoltz, Mezzo-Soprano, followed by a wine and cheese reception. Stoltz, a recent graduate from the masters program at DePaul University, she is an Associate Member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Stoltz will sing music by Schumann, Rossini, Gounod, Canteloube, Ireland and Quilter. Steven Mosteller, pianist, is Associate Professor of Opera and Music Director of DePaul Opera Theatre. Karen Beaumont, concert organist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, will perform a Baroque music organ recital on the small pipe organ in the lower choir loft of St. John Cantius on Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 pm following the Tridentine Latin High Mass.
